How much should a table throw cost?

A branded table throw is one of the most frequently purchased trade show items — and one of the easiest to benchmark because the spec is simple: fabric, print method, table size, and how many sides are covered.

What you are buying

• Fabric. Standard is polyester (wrinkle-resistant, machine-washable). Stretch polyester fits tighter and looks cleaner. Poly-twill is heavier and more formal. Most trade show table throws are standard polyester — the stretch and twill options run higher.
• Print method. Dye-sublimation is the standard for full-coverage, full-color table throws — the ink is infused into the fabric, not printed on top, so it does not crack or peel. Screen print is cheaper but limited to one or two colors and a single logo placement.
• Size and fit. 6ft and 8ft are the standard trade show table sizes. A 3-sided throw has an open back (convenient for sitting behind the table). A 4-sided throw covers all sides and runs 10–20% more because of the additional fabric and print area.

• Rush surcharge on a standard timeline. Table throws are a 5–10 business day production item at most vendors. If the event is a month out, a rush charge is not justified.
